EXHIBITIONS PUBLISHING
Follow these 3 simple steps:
- 1) Read the exhibition guide
- 2) Add your exhibition
- 3) Review your exhibition
Add an exhibition help:
Exhibition Name: The title or name of your exhibition as it appears on your own promotional material
Artists / Subtitle: The official subtitle for your exhibition, if applicable, or the name(s) of the artist or artists involved. If there are quite a few artists with work in the exhibition, you may wish to write ‘Group Show’.
Add to your profile: You should already have added your profile to the website. If you did not do this, please return to your Fotoura Account page and follow the directions to ‘Add a profile’
WHERE
Venue: The exhibition venue will need to be added to the website, either by you or another user, before you can select it from this drop-down list.
If it has not yet been added, you will need to visit the +ADD A VENUE page to do so before your exhibition listing can be completed. If you signed up as an organisation and selected the option that your organisation also functions as a venue, you should select ‘At my organisation venue’.
If it is taking place somewhere else, select the second option and choose the appropriate venue from the list. If the exhibition is online or otherwise displayed, select ‘No venue’.
WHEN
Exhibition Start Date: Using the pop-up calendar, select the start date of your exhibition
Exhibition End Date: Using the pop-up calendar, select the end date of your exhibition
Exhibition Start Time on First Day: Select the official opening hour for the exhibition on its opening date, which you selected above
Exhibition End Time on Last Day: Select the official closing time for the exhibition on its last day
Exhibition Opening Times: Gallery and/or exhibition opening times vary, so please use this field to clarify when the public can visit your exhibition. Please write using the following format: Mon-Fri: 10am-6pm; Sat: 1pm-6pm
WHY
This section is an opportunity for you to highlight any unique and exciting features of your exhibition.
PHOTO
Add a photo. This is the main photo that will show up at the top of your exhibition listing, and is also the first thing users will see when your listing comes up in a search or is featured on the homepage of the website.
The image will ideally be an 800 x 800 pixel square, minimum 400 pixel x 400 pixels, otherwise it will appear distorted on the website. Please include all credit and copyright information in the fields provided.
See our guide to adding photos to Fotoura for further information.
DOWNLOAD
This section will not be relevant to you unless you have created an in-app download to accompany your exhibition. If you are interested in finding out more about this option, see in-app downloads.
BOOKING / SUB
Exhibition Booking Phone Number: The phone number at which you would like to be contacted for exhibition-related enquiries (optional)
Exhibition Contact Email: The email address at which you would like to be contacted for exhibition-related enquiries (optional)
Exhibition Cost: How much entry to your exhibition costs (if free, write ‘Free’)
Exhibition Website: The website address at which users can find further information about your exhibition and how to book tickets if relevant. Please be sure to use the full URL for your site, including the ‘http://’ at the beginning.
DETAILS
Exhibition Description: This is your opportunity to really ‘sell’ your exhibition and give the public a detailed description of the work that will be on display, information about the background of the artist(s) involved, insight into the exhibition’s greater historical and artistic context, and any other items of information that might clarify the exhibition content and draw in any potentially interested parties.
CATEGORIES
Please tick the boxes that are relevant to your exhibition. This will help users find your listing when they search according to various related criteria. If you are unclear on whether a particular category applies to your exhibition, please scroll down to the bottom of the page for a list of definitions.
