COMPETITIONS PUBLISHING

Follow these 3 simple steps:


Add a competition help:

Competition Name: The title or name of your competition as it appears on your own promotional material

Competition Subtitle: An optional subtitle or subheading for your competition title

Add to your profile: You should already have added your profile to the website. If you did not do this, please return to your Fotoura Account page and follow the directions to ‘Add a profile’

WHERE

Choose whether your competition accepts online submissions, physical submissions or both.

WHEN

Entry Start Date: Enter the start date for the competition

Entry Closing Date: Enter the closing date for the competition

Competition Closing Time: Enter the exact cut-off time for entering the competition

WHY

This section is where you can highlight any unique features of your competition. What distinguishes it from other competitions?

PHOTO

Add a competition photo. This is the main photo that will show up at the top of your competition listing, and is also the first thing users will see when your competition comes up in a search or is featured on the homepage of the website.

The image will ideally be an 800 x 800 pixel square, minimum 400 pixel x 400 pixels. See our guide to adding photos to Fotoura for further information.

DOWNLOAD

This section will not be relevant to you unless you have created an in-app download to accompany your course. If you are interested in finding out more about this option, see in-app downloads.

BOOKING / SUB

Who can enter the competition? Explain what types of participants are eligible to enter your competition, and whether there are certain restrictions on entrants’ skill level, photographic style, age, etc.

How do people enter the competition? Explain the process by which people can go about entering your competition (this does not need to be a complete run-down of the necessary steps to enter, but should at least give an overview of the process).

Competition Contact Email: The email address at which you would like to contacted for competition-related enquiries (optional)

Competition Contact Phone Number: The phone number at which you would like to contacted for competition-related enquiries (optional)

Competition Website: The website address at which users can find further information about competition details and entry. Please be sure to use the full URL for your site, including the ‘http://’ at the beginning.

Competition Entry Cost: How much it costs to enter the competition (please specify if there are special/concessionary rates available)

DETAILS

Competition Description: This is your opportunity to really ‘sell’ your competition and give the public a comprehensive summary of its particular features, ambitions, etc.

Competition Theme: If relevant, please list the competition’s theme or prevailing topic of focus

About the Theme: If you have listed a competition theme, outline it here

Competition Category 1 & 2: Clarify if there are different categories for entry (e.g. amateur/intermediate/expert or portrait/nature/street), and provide a description for each

Competition prize or prizes: What can the competition winner(s) expect to receive?

How is the competition judged & who are the judges? Briefly explain the judging process, and provide some background information about the judges who will be evaluating the submitted entries.

Competition Recurrence: How often do you run this competition?

CATEGORIES

Please tick the boxes that are relevant to your competition. These will help users find your competition when they search according to various related criteria. If you are unclear on whether a particular category applies to your competition or how to distinguish between the different skill levels, please scroll down to the bottom of the page for a list of definitions.

PUBLISHING

Website Publish Status:

Archive: Choose this option if your event is not active currently, but you want it to appear on the website (e.g. you run a course regularly, but it does not have any scheduled dates currently; or you held an exhibition and wish to leave the details and images up on the site for visitors’ reference)

Live: Choose this option if you are satisfied with the details you have filled in about your event; it will be published to the website once you hit ‘save’.

Private: Choose this option if you wish to return to the event listing at a later point before completing it; it will not be published on the website until you change this setting.
