The Society invites professional, student and amateur photographers worldwide to submit their work. This year, for the first time in its history, we are invitin g digital entries alongside print entries.Entry is open to everyone (whether you are an RPS member or non-member). From 1st February – 17 May 2013, you can submit 4 images online or as prints, into one of two groups;Over 30′sUnder 30′s (entrants will need to be under 30 on the closing date, 17 May 2013)All styles of photography will be considered such as documentary, fashion, fine art, photojournalism, travel, portraiture, nature to name just a few. Each image submitted will be judged as a single, stand-alone image so you can enter a varied selection of work. 100 images will be selected to form the printed touring exhibition and three photographers will be awarded a gold award. The exhibition will tour the UK between July 2012 – July 2013.Having a print selected for the tour offers great exposure for photographers as well as giving enthusiasts well deserved recognition. Previous International Print photographers include, Simon Roberts FRPS, Laura Pannack and Julia Fullerton-Batten. The exhibition will tour for approx. 1 year from July 2013.…VIEW COMPETITION

As part of the Photo Levallois Festival, which will take place in October 4th and November 16th 2013, the city of Levallois will be awarding a photography prize to support young international contemporary creation, and discover and promote new talents. This prize will reward the work of an individual, regardless of nationality, aged 35 at the most on October 4th 2013. Photographers must present their own new work, which has not been previously published or exhibited. The selection panel will pay particular attention to the consistency of the artistic approach in its form and content. This prize is open to all practices of contemporary photography. This prize includes the sum of ten thousand euros and the opportunity for the winner to exhibit their work as part of the Photo Levallois Festival, at L’Escale gallery, 25 rue de la Gare, 92300 Levallois.…VIEW COMPETITION

Night Contact is a one night multimedia and photography festival 27th September 2013 – www.nightcontact.co.uk 3 X £ 1K Grants are available to part fund new innovative multimedia works. Deadline: 27th May 2013 Entry: £15 Judging Panel: •    Katrina Sluis: Digital Curator, The Photographers Gallery •    Charlotte Cotton: Curator The full judging panel will be announced soon. – We are delighted to announce that three £1,000 grants are available to part-fund three new works. As the projection format allows for flexibility in the work shown, enabling a cross-over of still & moving visual works and combinations of sound, text and image; we are inviting innovative collaborations between a photographer/artist using photography and an artist/creative from another background to produce new site-specific work for projection. We are asking for collaborative proposals to be submitted from a photographer/artist working with photography and a creative/artist from another background, with examples of previous work, to produce a piece of work to be shown across three HD screens in Gillett Square. The commissioned pieces may also be shown at other exhibitions or festivals after Night Contact. Environmental Awareness Project Funding – May 31st 2013The Royal Photographic Society in partnership with The Photographic Angle is offering funding for two 1 -year projects to UK residents, to support a photographic project that will promote environmental awareness. The funding will provide £3000 to assist with travel expenses, photographic equipment and other project-related costs.  There are two awards available for applicants aged 16-25 and 26+ years.
